This trophy has been awarded for many many years at the fall district conference by the Secretary's Department. Conceived in the days when using a computer was unusual, it was awarded to squadrons that showed talent in finding new uses for it. This often involved database management using spread sheets and sometimes special application development. As using computers became commonplace and specialized applications became available from USPS headquarters, the trophy was used to promote website development. When websites became almost universal D/22 ITCOM added a survey to find out how squadrons employed the USPS software. Because the rules have become stale and dated, ITCOM has decided not to award the trophy in the watch years 2007 - 9. Instead it will entertain ideas on which computer oriented topics could form a basis on which the trophy might be reintroduced later. If anyone has any ideas please contact ITCOM.
